Dominican Republic Mission Trip
Here are some highlights from our week in the D.R.:
After breakfast and devotions, we headed off to the worksite. It was a HOT day. Today was pouring the foundation day. Mixing cement and a ton of bucket lines!
We also were able to register 63 families for our medical clinic. Which translates to almost 300 people.
We had a great ice cream pick me up right before a rain storm hit and we had fun dancing in the rain and splashing in puddles.
After dinner we got to work counting out and sorting a ton of meds for the clinic. Our medical clinic was amazing! We had 5 doctors, 2 dentists, 2 barbers, and many young girls washing and braiding hair, volunteer their time today. We saw 62 families! We had a pharmacy of mostly donated meds for doctors to “prescribe”, and this year were able to give out about 12 glucose meters and kits.
Many people we saw today don’t have any other opportunity to see a doctor, so we are so happy to have been able to bring this to them.
God provided today, as He does every day, and we are so grateful.
