PART TIME/FULL TIME DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY

WHAT WE SEEK
Qualified individual to work with the Pastor and volunteers to develop an overall Christian education ministry and build spiritual relationships with children and youth.
Innovative individual to work with the Pastor and volunteers to provide hands-on-mission experiences to children and youth.
Energetic individual to assist in the worship service.
Excellent communicator.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit and train Advisors and Student Leaders and develop programs for youth fellowship (5th through 12th grade), including activities, events, retreats and bible studies.
Provide, in consultation with the pastor, pastoral care to youth, with particular attention to development of their spiritual gifts and their personal relationship to Jesus Christ.
Work and meet with the Christian Education Committee to select materials for the Rotation Model Sunday School.
Provide training for Church School staff, and Vacation Bible School leaders using, among other things, written material, videos and workshops.
Participate in the Sunday church school program.
Be an advocate for youth involvement within the life of our church.
Lead an annual summer youth mission trip(s) with primary emphasis on relating to persons of other social economic and/or cultural backgrounds.
Assist in worship on a regular basis
Preach occasionally. The number of occasions is at the discretion of the Pastor.
