Pastor

Rev. J. Aaron Nagel has served as pastor of Long Valley Presbyterian Church since 2001.  Pastor Aaron says, "My own faith journey has developed who I am as a pastor and as a person, and I seek in ministry to be a witness to the great things God, in Jesus Christ, can accomplish in people."  Along with being the son of a Presbyterian minister, Pastor Aaron is married to Barbara and they have two sons, Sage - 12 and Clay - 9.  Rev. Nagel teaches that God never turns a blind eye or a deaf ear; that God is approachable, personable, lovable, reasonable, and alive in the life of each of God's daughters and sons.  Pastor Aaron's passion is in Christian Spirituality and Spiritual Formation.

People are in need of spiritual growth and direction in their lives.
The church must be the place that speaks to the personal, emotional, social, and family needs of people, young and old, employed and retired, seekers and the religiously mature, believers and nonbelievers, and the churched and unchurched.
The church is the place for spiritual growth and discipleship; it does not happen by chance.
